Terrell Williams

Dr. Terrell Williams is a native of Jacksonville, FL, and a First-generation, Low-income college graduate. He is also the first male grandchild, maternal and paternal, in his family to attend and graduate from a 4-year university.

He received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Bethune-Cookman University, an Historically Black University (HBCU) in Daytona Beach, Florida and is a two-time graduate school Alumnus of Florida State University (M.S. in Higher Education and Ed.D in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies).

Dr. Williams has worked in undergraduate and graduate school admissions for more than ten years, mainly providing access and opportunities to talent that has been historically underrepresented. In his current position as Associate Director in the MIT Sloan Office of Admissions, he oversees recruitment and diversity outreach initiatives that seek to broaden the pipeline to include people who are less likely to be exposed to and possibly benefit from the MIT environment.
