Greetings From JumpStart!

Considering getting your MBA? The JumpStart Path2MBA prepares undergraduate students and working professionals to engage directly with admissions officers at our MBA program partners.

Regardless of which MBA program you pursue, there are foundational elements of the MBA Essay.

Join us for a unique, small group workshop with Duke admissions officers engaging with working professionals and undergraduate students.

Although the experience is hosted by Duke, you do not have to be in the application process for Duke to participate.

The ‘Team Fuqua’ spirit and community is one of the things that sets the MBA experience apart, and it is a concept that extends beyond the student body to include faculty, staff, and administration. Please share with us “25 Random Things” about you.

Join us for a unique, small group workshop with Fuqua admissions officers focused on the following three experiences.

  • Admissions officers will provide context on the application process and specifically focus on what you need to know specific to the Essay(s). For example, how does an admissions committee think about the essay relative to the decision to admit or not.
  • Hear from current students about their experience and how they navigated the admissions process.
  • Engage in a guided small group working session for you to brainstorm, prep for a “Random Things” Essay, and network among peers. Here is a link to a blog that students wrote about Duke’s Random 25 essay.

Siraj Bah

Siraj Bah is the Program Director of Admissions and Diversity Initiatives for the Daytime MBA program at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. He joined Fuqua in 2022 and leads recruitment and yield strategies for women, underrepresented minorities, veterans, and LGBTQ+ students across all MBA programs. Siraj also serves as the event lead for key on-campus events, including the Duke MBA Workshop, MBA Pride Weekend, and Blue Devil Weekend diversity programming.

Siraj holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Russell Sage College, an M.P.A. from Buffalo State University, and an M.B.A. from Manhattan University. Before joining Fuqua, he spent 10 years in higher education working in admissions, financial aid, and academic advising, focusing on supporting high-risk student populations at both public and private institutions.

Outside of work, Siraj enjoys traveling, exploring different cultures, and long-distance cycling—often riding 30 to 40 miles through the Durham area when not on the road.
