Katie Murray
Katie Murray is a Senior Consultant in the Operations Excellence practice and specializes in organizational change management based in Chicago.
Katie earned a Master of Science in Learning and Organizational Change from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Boston College.
Katie currently lives in Chicago but is originally from Maryland just outside of Washington D.C. Katie considers herself a big Washington Nationals fan and enjoys watching and participating in most sports. She was a former Division I swimmer at Boston College and finished the Chicago Marathon two years in a row (2018 & 2019).
Katie is passionate about giving back to her community and has been involved in fundraising efforts for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for several years and has also volunteered with Almost Home Kids, an organization that provides care to children with acute complex health needs.
Kristin Vargas
Kristin Vargas is a Manager in the Mergers & Acquisition practice based in Chicago.
Kristin graduated with a B.A in Political Science and Public Policy from Vanderbilt University.
Kristin is a notable speaker and representative to Women Leaders in M&A.
Kristin also volunteers as Assistant Cheer Coach & Choreographer at Lake Forrest High School and Deer Path Middle School.
Dustin Shafer
Dustin Shafer is a Senior Consultant in the Financial Services practice based in Los Angeles.
He earned his Bachelors of Business Administration from California State University in San Bernardino and his Masters of Business Administration from the University of La Verne in La Verne, California.
Dustin actively participates in the development of West Monroe’s diversity & inclusion initiative; and serves the office lead for SOMOS and is an ally for our Women’s Leadership Network and Black Employee Network.
Dustin also plays the role of Chief of Adventurer and Chief of Golf for the Los Angeles practice.
Outside of work, Dustin as avid sports enthusiast, playing in multiple recreational leagues. He also has a deep passion for BBQ and the grill, regularly cooking for friends and family, and sometimes even catering weddings.
Jason McGee
Jason McGee is a Senior Consultant in the Technology practice based in Chicago.
He earned both a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems and Information Technology and a Bachelor of Science degree in General Management from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
He currently serves as a mentor in the Spark Program, and annually serves as a site leader for WMP’s National Day of Service. He has also served as a mentor with iMentor and LaunchX, and a job-readiness coach for Breakthrough Urban Ministries.
In addition to volunteering his time, Jason regularly makes contributions to non-profit organizations, including public school classroom projects through DonorsChoose.
Outside of work, Jason is an avid sports fan and enjoys supporting Chicago sports teams. He loves listening to music, attending concerts, and watching movies. He also enjoys ancestry research, and family tree development.
Mark Hoempler
Mark Hoempler is a Manager in the Financial Services practice based in Los Angeles.
Mark graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology with a focus in Systems Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point. Mark brings ten years of professional experience including leadership and operations experience as a Captain in the United States Army, operations in Heat and Oil Logistics, and Financial Services consulting.
Mark actively participates in the development of West Monroe’s diversity & inclusion initiative and serves the Los Angeles office lead for the VETERANS committee; a West Monroe ERG with the mission to support our military service members and their families and positioning West Monroe as a proactive employer of Veterans.
Outside of work, Mark is active as a high school youth group leader and mentor. As a Veteran, Mark is an avid supporter of “paying it forward,” supporting transitioning veterans in resume and interview preparation.
Jeff Alstadt
Jeff Alstadt is a Principal in the Product Engineering practice based in Chicago and has been working in software development for the last 12 years.
Jeff earned his BS Degree in Computer Engineering from Purdue University and BA in German Language from Indiana University.
Jeff has built Transportation Management Systems, EDI Integrations, API interface definitions, data modeling (conceptual and logical), monolith systems decomposition, and software architecture definition.
Jeff is a native from Pittsburgh, PA currently living in Chicago, IL with his husband and his two min pins.
Jeff enjoys giving back to the community by working with the Greater Chicago Food Depository, Out in Tech, and St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital and volunteers at Code Platoon as a mentor and teaching assistant in helping veterans become software developers.
