Michael Chiock, Managing Director, Enterprise Improvement
Michael brings close to 20 years of experience in consulting and industry to his clients and primarily serves companies in energy and energy-related equipment, service, and process industries. His strategic and practical solutions help companies achieve new levels of efficiency and profitability. Michael focuses on total company improvement including operations (field/service), manufacturing, pricing, sales, supply chain, sourcing, and G&A expenses. Before his consulting career, Michael managed various functions in supply chain and power generation operations with one of the largest electric utility companies in the world.
Michael has a Bachelor of Arts in economics and education leadership from the University of San Diego and is a member of the international economics honor society Omicron Delta Epsilon.
Naomi Buie, Vice President, Enterprise Improvement
Naomi has more than a decade of omnichannel retail experience and delivers impressive results through optimization of market opportunities, qualitative analysis, and creative problem solving. She has experience in merchandising, planning, and new business development for luxury department stores as well as consumer products licensing and digital marketing. Clients benefit from Naomi’s expertise in the sectors of domestic and international ready-to-wear, sportswear, footwear, and hardlines for women’s, men’s and childrenswear. Naomi has a particular interest in the international retail landscape and has led the formulation and implementation of strategic initiatives in Canada, China, the UK, Mexico, and Australia.
Naomi has an MBA from Columbia Business School.
Snehal Grandi, Vice President, Enterprise Improvement
Snehal has experience in sourcing and procurement, logistics, and operations efficiency improvement in manufacturing and other industries with extensive experience in direct materials, commodities, equipment, and MRO sourcing. She has strong analytical and communications skills and is experienced in working cross-functionally to deliver impactful results.
Snehal has an MBA in strategy, operations, and sustainability from Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business.
Joy Ibanga, Senior Vice President, Turnaround & Restructuring
Joy brings consulting and banking experience to help clients overcome financial and operational challenges. She offers clients her extensive expertise in commercial credit and corporate treasury functions, which she leverages to help clients navigate business reorganizations. Clients across a variety of sectors benefit from her experience in forecasting cash and liquidity, in performing stress-testing analysis, in assessing counterparty risk, and in executing capital optimization strategies.
Joy has an MBA in finance and strategic management from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.
Jose Velasco, Senior Vice President, Turnaround & Restructuring
Jose has experience in the fields of cash management, financial planning and analysis, and turnaround management for companies across the natural resources, consumer products, retail, fintech, and transportation industries. He has collaborated in preparing 13-week cash flow projections, and in preparing financial and operational turnaround strategies for companies both in the US and in Latin America. Prior to joining AlixPartners, Jose was part of Alvarez & Marsal in their turnaround and restructuring team and was also part of the project finance team of Grupo Mexico, the largest mining company in Latin America.
Jose Pedro is a Chemical Engineer from Universidad Iberoamericana and holds an MBA in finance from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
