1. Technical Consulting and Client Success (CFT):
As a consultant or services professional, you will be a strategic advisor to Microsoft’s enterprise customers and partners helping them optimize their business performance and be on the front line dedicated to solving their technical challenges. You will possess a solid understanding of your customer’s business, industry and needs as cloud and emerging technologies enable digital transformation opportunities for their organizations. You will be responsible for delivering solutions to enable the customer’s desired outcomes, working closely with other teams
2. Associate Consultant (AC):
Consultants are focused on deep customer technology & are project-based. They provide billable work at the request of the customers and they go on-site with customers anywhere from weeks to months for projects. These consultants are similar to technical consultants at PWC, Deloitte, EY, etc. 300 level tech knowledge.
3. Customer Engineer (CE):
CEs are deeply focused on one technology. They are often on-site with customers, and act reactively and proactive to customer needs. For reactive engagements, they get called upon to fix large-scale issues specific to their solution/product. They proactively set up education and training about their solution for customer stakeholders, and people at MSFT. They’re dedicated resources for customers vs. transactional assets. 300 level tech knowledge .
4. Project Manager (PJM):
Project managers are project-based. They work closely with consultants but are focused on managing the project end to end. They focus on budget forecasting, make sure our projects get implemented successfully, run smoothly, and are delivered on time (plan out and strategize how to make this project happen what we need, what resources, what timeframe, schedules, etc.).
5. Customer Success Account Manager (CSAM):
The primary customer-facing role responsible for customer success through the management of program deliveries and strong customer relationships. The prevailing business priority is the customers’ successful adoption and productive use of Microsoft cloud technologies. You are front and center with our customers supporting their digital journey and empowering them to achieve more.
6. Support Engineer:
Support Engineers serve as the first point of contact for Microsoft’s customers and partners via phone, email or web. They deliver unique value by collaboratively and reactively solving customer problems, providing proactive support advice, contributing to product quality and enhancements, and creating self-help assets to broadly reach more customers.
