JumpStart Your MBA Path to Private Equity

As an update to our Path to Private Equity, we are excited to partner with Anacapa Partners. We invite 1st year AND 2nd year MBAs interested in Private Equity to join a virtual session on November 18th.

Anacapa Partners is a leading private equity firm focused exclusively on investing in businesses that are acquired through the search fund model.

Search funds are a compelling entrepreneurial pursuit. For the talented, driven, MBA, a search fund provides a direct path to ownership and becoming the CEO of a lower middle market business.

See the summary below followed by action items.

A. Who is Anacapa Partners: Anacapa Partners works with talented entrepreneurs to search for, acquire and scale middle market companies. Over the past nine years, Anacapa has invested in 150 individuals/partnerships looking to acquire a company and has made over 50 investments in operating companies acquired through the search fund approach. Anacapa partners with entrepreneurs identified through two channels – top tier MBA programs and special operations forces in the United States military.

B. What does an Internship Look Like: Over the course of 8-10 weeks, a Summer Associate will work with the Anacapa investment team, helping their search funds evaluate deals, perform due diligence, review financial models, and other related tasks, in addition to helping develop additional tools to facilitate successful search processes. The internship is designed to provide a potential search fund entrepreneur or investor with a “behind-the-scenes” look into the search fund space, including access to the investor community, understanding of deal structures, and an insight into how investors evaluate search deals and work with search entrepreneurs.

C. Where are they based: Internship and Full Time opportunities are most likely to be located in San Mateo, CA or remote due to the current environment.
