Barclays is recruiting experienced candidates for Equity Research Analysts who want to build their Careers in Financial Services.
The plan is to host a virtual Meet Up on December 1st where you join an interactive session to work together with their staff on how to solve problems, understand the nature of an Analyst role, and how to prepare for interviews.
Two actions are needed:

Your role as Equity Research Analyst
As a Barclays Equity Research Analyst, you will be analyzing industry macro trends and company financials under the direction of the Senior Analyst. You will enjoy a diverse range of work and expand your experience as you prepare research reports that vary in size and scope.
- Reviewing business and trade publications, annual reports, financial filings, and other sources in order to gather, synthesize and interpret data on companies followed by the team.
- Researching, analyzing, and forecasting the impact of technology as well as varying corporate strategies, Writing research reports varying from quick briefs on earnings results or strategic events.
- Communicating recommendations to sales, trading, management teams, institutional investor clients, and other important stakeholders.
The city of New York requires Barclays to include a salary range for this role. The salary range is specific to individuals applying to work in our New York office and takes into account a number of factors. The range for this role is between $110,000 – $160,000 with potential eligibility for annual discretionary bonus.

Rob Rouse – Head of Americas Equity Research
Rob is a Managing Director and the Head of Americas Equity Research for Barclays. He has run the Equity Research department since 2013, and has been with the firm (including its predecessor, Lehman Brothers) since 1996.
Rob’s core responsibilities include the oversight of 200+ client-facing investment professionals, industry experts covering the largest publicly listed companies in their fields. His responsibilities range from the recruiting, development and retention of high performing teams, to the strategic allocation of resources towards high-value product and high-focus clients.
Prior to his current responsibilities in senior management, he served in a number of roles in both New York and London with day-to-day oversight of the “quality of idea generation” across all industry sectors. Rob began his career as a junior research analyst and became a senior sector analyst in the Healthcare practice. In his tenure as a producer and now manager, the department has been recognized as one of the Top 5 strongest Research houses across Wall Street for 16 of the past 18 years.
Rob holds a BA degree in Business Administration with concentrations in Accounting & Economics. He lives on the Upper West Side of Manhattan with his wife, son and dog.
